The robot will be officially presented on January 6 at CES 2026.
LG CLOiD is designed to handle household chores, control home appliances, and interact naturally with residents by understanding their daily routines and surroundings. The debut aligns with LG’s long-term vision of creating a “zero-labor home,” where people can spend more time together without being burdened by routine tasks.
In one demonstration, the robot prepares breakfast for a resident who is in a hurry to leave for work. Based on preconfigured algorithms, the bot takes milk out of the refrigerator, puts croissants into the oven, and gathers essential items such as apartment keys. After the person leaves, LG CLOiD continues performing household duties on its own.
The robot features a humanoid design optimized for domestic tasks. Its body consists of a head and two arms, while movement is handled via wheels. LG CLOiD can adjust its height from 105 cm to 143 cm, and its arms, approximately 87 cm long, allow it to reach and handle various objects.
The robot’s head serves as the control hub of a smart home, powered by AI on LG’s Q9 platform. It houses the chipset, display, speakers, cameras, sensors, and a generative voice AI system.
“Our goal is to create a home where robots and AI-powered appliances take care of household responsibilities, allowing people to relax, enjoy life, and focus on what truly matters,” LG representatives said.
