OpenAI has released a new update for the ChatGPT Atlas browser for macOS. Users now get support for tab groups, making it easier to organize browsing sessions.
The company also introduced an Auto search mode, which automatically chooses between ChatGPT and Google depending on the query. The search results interface has been redesigned: a vertical layout makes links more visible and places them in a separate block.
For Safari users switching to Atlas, a prompt now appears during the first launch suggesting the installation of the iCloud Passwords extension. Currently, Atlas runs only on Macs with Apple Silicon chips (starting from M1). Versions for Windows, iOS, and Android will be released later.
