Users can now also connect Claude directly to services such as Thomson Reuters’ CoCounsel Legal, DocuSign, Everlaw, Box, and the AI legal assistant Harvey. The new features are available through Claude Cowork. Enterprise admins can enable them in workspace settings.

According to Anthropic’s chief legal officer Mark Pike, lawyers now use Claude more often than almost any other professional group. More than 20,000 legal professionals signed up for a recent webinar on using Claude, with another one planned soon. Back in February, the rollout of Anthropic’s first legal tools triggered a one-trillion-dollar selloff in software stocks.

According to reports, Cowork still has basic cybersecurity issues and known AI security vulnerabilities such as prompt injections. For law firms handling sensitive client data, this is a major point that should be reviewed before deployment.
