The funding round is expected to be led by Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC and investment firm Coatue Management.

The proposed valuation would be nearly double the company’s level from September last year, when Anthropic was valued at $183 billion following the close of a $13 billion Series F round.

In addition to the main round, Nvidia and Microsoft are reportedly planning to invest up to $15 billion more in Anthropic, sources said. The parties aim to finalize the deal within the coming weeks, although the final investment amount could still change.

Anthropic’s management expects the company to reach break-even by 2028, a timeline that would put it ahead of its main rival, OpenAI. The company is also reportedly planning an initial public offering as early as 2026.
