“The capabilities we are introducing today — voice accuracy, personalized sound, and custom solutions — lay the foundation for the next generation of music models that we will launch in collaboration with the industry later this year,” the company said in its announcement.
Developers emphasized that the updated model not only helps create music but also reflects the creator’s individuality. To achieve this, Suno introduced several new features:
-
Voices — allows users to record their own vocals and use them in compositions
-
Custom Models — enables users to create a personalized version of v5.5 by uploading their own tracks, which the system uses to generate similar music
-
My Taste — a system that gradually learns user preferences and applies them to future music generation
The first two features are available to Pro and Premier subscribers, while My Taste is available to all users. To use the voice recording feature, users must complete verification. The service asks them to read a control text displayed on screen, then compares audio samples to confirm that the voice belongs to the user.
Suno also stated that all voices remain private and can only be used by their owners. The company plans to add sharing capabilities in the future while maintaining full user control.
