What we know
Claude Cowork is an AI-powered assistant capable of performing basic actions on a user’s computer. With a macOS device and the Claude desktop app installed, the tool can create documents based on local files, organize folders, and carry out other routine tasks. It is an upgraded version of the assistant, supporting a Chrome plugin and integration with external applications.
As part of the broader rollout, Anthropic implemented several improvements based on user feedback. These include the ability to rename sessions, enhanced file previews, improved stability when working with third-party apps, and confirmation prompts before deleting files.
The feature is currently available to macOS users with a paid subscription. There is no information yet on support for other platforms.
